The book may tell you how to become an insurance agent but it does not point to available jobs. There are many websites that claim to offer jobs but it often remains difficult.[...].

I was expecting a "how to" book on starting an insurance agency. After reading this book cover-to-cover, I still have an extremely vague idea about what to do, or how to even find information. This book may be fine for the novice agent, or someone contemplating becoming an agent, but it falls short in the area of becoming a self-employed agency owner. Save your money!!

So You Want to Be an Insurance Agent..........you can't sum this book up any better than it's title. As a district office in Washington, we suggest "serious candiates" to read this book. This book gives them not only the outline of what's to come, but also a guideline to follow when becoming an agent. I would recommend that this book be in every District Office's library.
